SETTING: before the journy west. Goku was bored, bored of the walls that seemed to mock him. Bored of the hot sun shinning down on to this soft brown locks at its zenth. Bored of the quick looks and deep sigh's the shaiven headed monks would give him. One other thing he was was full, cat lazy full of peaches. Leaning back on the thick tree limb he patted his slightly rounded mid-drift. Do you find this valuable?

***Hakkai was driving on his way to the monestary to meet up with Sanzo and Goku. He had agreed to start working with Goku on his lessons and today was day one in the education of Goku. There was a small knapsack full of books and supplies in which Hakkai hoped he could interest the saru in the joys of learning. His ponderings were interrupted when he glanced up and saw the happy monkey looking well fed and sleepy as he lazed in the branches of a peach tree."Oi, Goku! You ready to start your first lesson? I brought you some new books. ***holds up the full pack for the saru to see*** Do you find this valuable? |

*With a grone Goku looked down at his new teatcher*no dont want to. *He crossed his arms over his chest in a act of rebleion. He realy was warm,fed and comtable in his tree. Most of the monks had learnt to leave him alone there. Un like when he was in any of the rooms, they hurried him out with low mutters under their breath.* *Hakkai was now loking up at him with a stern smile, which confused Goku* Do you find this valuable? |

Yer I supose there is no wiggling out of it this time. *goku's voice was only slukly for a moment before brighting up once more.* So what's on the list of things you plan today. *His bright eyes eager to consume knolage like the vast amounts of food he loved.* *picking a peach he offers it to Hakkai* I know its not an apple, but they are sweet. *juce stains on Goku's shirt tels how true that statments is.* Do you find this valuable? |

***Hakkai accepts the peach with a smile***Thanks! I think I will save it for later though. Er.. I think doing some of your lessons in a tree might be kind of hard so how about we make a deal. If you work on your numbers and writing inside... at a table... for an hour a day. ...Then we can try to do the rest of your lessons either outside or well.. most anywhere you like. *goku tought about what Hakkai was offering. He was not realy fond of numbers and letters. They was boring, even if his teacher did promis they got more intresting. Still boring work for a hour and then play time all day.*is that an hour on each or both? *Goku was not just a dumb looking monkey as Sanzo swore he was* *Folding his arms for the answer, still thinking.* Do you find this valuable? |

well you said you can tell if i do my very best, so you got to be special. like Sanzo he always knows if i have been up to mischif. even if he can see me. *quiet vouce and a hand up to whisper behind* he told me he has eyes in the back of his head.*grins and like the warmth of Hakkai's hand. Goku just knows this man can be trusted.* Do you find this valuable? |

*Goku thought, blue, was a feeling. He vagly felt like he grasped the consept. blue was sad, but not dark sad like in the cave. sad and wet. tears was wet.**sudenly Goku did not like the cloure blue any more.* blue sucks *then looking up, in the clear sky, wight clouds dancing on the breaze. that was blue and the sun make it not seem so bad. Yellow was a better name* Do you find this valuable? |

****Sanzo starts to get fan out and wield it at the monkey, thinks the better of it, gets out cigarette and lights it, stands there smoking...**Tch..Hakkai I don't know how you stay so relentlessly cheerful after everything you've been through... it's positively ...brutal. ***Stubs out smoke and grabs monkey by the ponytail....** And as for you bakasaru... Enough wasting this nice man's time -- inside for your lessons... ****Drags Goku by the hair inside to the study off of his bedroom where there is a table and chairs they planned to use for their lessons....** ****Pushes him down in one of the chairs... ** SIT ....
