***Following Sanzo and Goku into the side room with Hakuryu on his shoulder, Hakkai frowned slightly at the monk. He took in the odd contented look that flashed over Goku's face for a second or two before the sulking started. He shook his head puzzled. He may never figure out the bond between the two.***Well Goku, let's just get our number's lesson over with quickly and I will take you back outside. Ne? ***Hakkai pulls out some paper and pencils from his pack and sets them on the small table in front of the saru*** Do you find this valuable? |

****Sanzo settles down in the weathered old couch against the wall of his study, puts on his reading glasses and grabs his newspaper...*******He listens to Hakkai trying to teach the saru his numbers for a while, snickering quietly to himself behind the newspaper...** ***After a while he can't resist and drops the paper enough to look over it, sliding the glasses slightly down his nose....** Tch. You're a patient man, 'Kai... Teaching him seems like trying to stuff ten pounds of rice in a five pound sack to me. How's that for an arithmetic problem? *snerk* ***The paper and the glasses go back up** Do you find this valuable? |

*Goku aplyed him self to his work, compleat with constrating tip of his toung sticking out the left corner of his mouth*Hakkai why do I need to know fractions, it not like counting. one two four, many. i like many... but this stuff, is like your nose, but not fun. *goku struggled again, this time getting a difrent answer. Thinking he picked up the paper, turned it upside down and looked at the math problem from a difrent angle* *it did not help this time there was not devine inspration, freek snow storm to save him from the dullnes of his lession, righting the paper he tries to count on his fingers, runs out and looks up at Sanzos paper pleeding* Do you find this valuable? |

***Sanzo stares in amazement at the unique logic only the bakasaru can manufacture.... looks from the monkey to Hakkai.... shakes his head...**I give up.... You're a better man than me, Cho Hakkai... ***Still shaking his head he wordlessly pulls the paper back up to cover his face, trying not to let on that he is laughing quietly to himself...** ****A thought strikes him and he drops the paper just enough to catch Hakkai's eye... asks ever-so-casually...** Tch.......Where's your other half -- The redhead...he's usually glued to your hip? *****The paper quickly comes all the way back up....** Do you find this valuable? |

***Hakkai takes the paper from Goku and straightens it back up. He takes out a cookie from the pack and explains the problem to the saru using the cookie as a prop. When he sees the light go on behind Goku's eyes and he completes the problem he lets the monkey nibble on the bits of cookie as he finishes his paper***Ahaha Sanzo.. your know how Gojyo is.. he was still sleeping off a night of drinking and womanizing when I left. I just let him sleep instead of dragging him along. It was a nice drive here and sometimes it's nice being alone with your thoughts. ***Hakkai moves his gaze out the small window to stare at the sky.. quietly lost in throught*** Do you find this valuable? |

*nibbling slowly to make this last. Hakkai's cooking was marvlous, just the right balance of oats and sweet honey. How the man knew Goku had a soft spot for this type of cookie. Roled oats made it easyer to nibble little teazing flakes off.*Sanzo will you come and walk with us outside, its so bright, and its stuffy in here and your so pale. *goku forced himself to shut up from rambling by stuffing the half nibbled tresure whole in him mouth. fogetting not to breath and making crumbs go down his air way.* *trying very had to fight for breath and not disturb, the glazing men. Sanzo would only scold him for bolting his food, which was true.* Do you find this valuable? |

***Hakkai turns his head to answer Sanzo's comment about the kappa but stops himself when he catches the monk looking out the window with glazed eyes. The implications to what he might be thinking causes his stomach to drop a bit. No.. no.. it's Sanzo... he chides himself.******Turning his attention back to Goku, noticing him struggling with swallowing a large mouthful of cookie, he raises an eyebrow and watches out of the corner of his eye to make sure he doesn't choke. Taking the paper that Goku has finished he checks it over quickly.*** Ok Goku, nice work. I am proud of you. You ready to go on that walk? I bet we can find a nice place to sit and have a couple more cookies. ***He reaches up and ruffles the saru's messy cinnamon colored locks*** Do you find this valuable? |

Ok monkey since you did such a good job with your lessons, I'll take you up on that walk.... ****Looks out the window again and his voice gets a little drifty and unfocused... Since it's such a nice day and all.... ***He trails off as he slips his sandals off over his tabi and wanders off out the door leaving Goku and Hakkai sitting looking at each other...** Do you find this valuable? |

***Several seconds later as Hakkai and Goku are still looking at each other puzzling over Sanzo's strange exit, a tousled blonde head pokes in the door of Sanzo's room...**Oi! Monkey! Hakkai! What's the holdup? You're burning daylight! It's nice out here - 'whatthehell is wrong with you two?? C'mon!! Move it!! **The head disappears and they hear sandals flip flopping down the hall, and could almost swear they hear...laughter?...** Do you find this valuable? |

*Goku looked at the door, blinked in shock that the maths lession had made him lose his marbles and imagin that sanzo was laughing as he left. Grabbing hie sensi by the hand the over eger boy pulled the slightly reluctent man out the door in to the light.*come on slow poke. The mighty sanzo want to play with us, quick before he changers his mind. Where are the cookies, or do you want more peatches, cherrys would be nice to. *He rammbled on with his smiling captive walking easly in the wake of the small boy eager to soak up the warm rays. Goku did look more happy outside than he ever did indoors* Do you find this valuable? |

***Hakkai takes long strides to keep up with Goku who is beaming with happiness as he turns his face toward the sky***Ahaha... you are in such a rush my friend. Slow down Goku. If you move any faster you will run Sanzo down. ***The pair finally caught up with Sanzo who wore a strange smail smile on his face and those droopy purple eyes seem to actually be dancing with mischief*** ***Pulling the saru closer, Hakkai whispered in his ear*** Oi Goku, you think Sanzo has been into the rice wine early? He is acting a bit odd. Do you find this valuable? |

***Gojyo rubbed the back of his head making the too short hair stand up.*******He supposed he could have waited for Hakkai at home, might have been easier on the hang-over.***** ***Gojyo ignored the monks that wrinkled their noses at him.***** ***He was relieved to see Hakkai coming through the too serene landscape**** ****He was less relieved to see the pissy monk and his pet monkey.**** "Hey, H'Kai." He realized he had no clue what he meant to ask his good buddy now that he'd located him. "HOw's it going?" Do you find this valuable? |

***All three of the others stand puzzled as they meet up under a sakura tree and see Sanzo in a field ahead of them... he and Hakuryu appear to be up to something-- Sanzo is throwing some sort of object in a sideways manner quite a distance, and Hakuryu is racing to catch the object in his claws, and flying back and dropping in Sanzo's hands... *****The spectacle of the normally-sober monk running around on the grass apparently indulging in some kind of childlike play has them all so amazed they are dumbstruck and frozen where they stand....** *** Sanzo receives the mysterious item again from the little dragon, who seems to be enjoying the game immensely and teasing Sanzo before he drops it down to him, and the monk suddenly spins around and calls out...** Oi!! Bakasaru, catch!! .... ****And he throws the object in a long spinning arc towards Goku, who snaps his wrist up in the air and deftly catches it just before it would have been snatched by Hakuryu, who utters a disappointed cheeping sound as he settles on Hakkai's shoulder to wait expectantly for it to be thrown again...** ****Goku holds the object up to look at it before he attempts to toss it back to his sun, and Hakkai examines it. The converted youkai knows enough science to understand why the discoid object flies so well, and considers giving Goku an impromptu physics lesson to explain its properties. He thinks the better of it when he sees Sanzo standing there as looking as close to happy as anyone has ever seen him, simply standing there waiting for Goku to toss the thing back....** ***Sanzo grins and calls out...** Pretty cool, huh? Been saving it for a surprise. One of the other monks brought it back from a trip to Tokyo. It's called a "frisbee"..... Throw it back, Goku, like this.... ***He flings his arm and snaps his wrist in demonstration of the correct technique to best throw the red plastic disc.....** Do you find this valuable? |

*the small boy gave a cupple of expramental throws and finaly feeling comtable he lets the odd toy fly at his sun.*all yours sanzo *then quietly to hakkai,* can you take a look at him later?? he is never this ...* goku struggles to find a word in his limet vocabulry* oi funky hair come play with us you lazy assed kappa. *goku waved at the red haied with his hair still growing out from his mad moment with a demon barber* Do you find this valuable? |
