kenren's little joke did not sit well, and the hot glare that was throwen like a whepon at him was pure sage rage.(( we could play drill the kappa with holes and stuff him like midwinter meat' )) deeply amused at the thought of how many holes he could add. then small pray, no tenpous pet human, the one with silver eyes and tounge spoke. ahh if only to have a voice like that. it made the sage smile and tilt his head in the mortals direction. even if the man could not see him, he was due respect for having the ball to point out just how stupidly tight them pants was. "if you sit i bleave the little one's sun would be one more pair of pants short, didn't your mother teach you how to dress your self right? never mind kenren i am sure a lession with tenpou will straighten you out, since your keeper is so stunned by your looks." deep and very very barbed coments from the dark. "Is the clothing a no or a maybe?" Seth blinked at Sanzo. "He always asks you yes, no or maybe and you've always said yes, but when Goku said I wasn't a boyfriend he gave me shirt, does that mean you said no this time?" Seth was also stroking Sage/Goku's back, holding him in place with lazy touching more effective than angry words.

Sanzo felt like he had been plunked down into the middle of a the pinball machine from hell and he was the ball. He stood frozen and mute, eyes narrowed and dark as he tried to process all that had been said and how the fuck he was supposed to respond, because he definitely saw five pairs of eyes - one challenging, one amused as hell, two nervous, and one blinking and unreadable - all trained on him and waiting for his response. He decided he would handle them in the order he had received their... input... and let the chips fall where they may."OK First, Gin, fuck off. I still haven't decided if I like you or not, and unnecessary smartass comments like that don't help your case. Second. Monkey, put a sock in it. He's not Kenren, he's Gojyo. He grabbed the wrong pants because he was in a hurry to get down here and check on your sorry ass. Control yourself." He turned to Seth and tried to moderate his voice, to be able to get the truth without freaking out the weird kid. If what he thought was going on turned out to be true, then there was going to be hell to pay anyway. "Seth. You seem to ... know things... about private conversations between myself and Gojyo. "I watch people. Since Goku's power saved me I watch you." Seth was clueing into the fact this might be an issue. "The powerful letterbets in the books and mag-a-zee-ins with Something pictures don't work. Have to watch and listen." He looked at Gin for help. "I tried with your mag-a-zee-ins, but you only told children's games." Gin got still, then grinned, realizing the little bastard was a peeping tom. OOOO Hakkai and Red were so not gonna' like that. goku looked shocked at seth as the words tumbled from his mouth it was like watching his worst night mare come alive but with less talking meat buns trying to eat him."oh fukking goddess." he muttered and hid his flaming face on seths sholder hissing "shush" but nope the goddess was not helping or lissoning and poor goku had to here all of seths proud speach about watching. to seth it would be just a way to learn, but oh none of the others would see that. leaping up, which as seth was in gokus lap at the time ment the other plunged to the floor in a heep, goku arms rised as if he was expecting the gun to just blow seth away. "sanzo it's not quite like that." goku cast a worried look at the floor and met ice blue eyes and open mouthed seth who looked about to speak. "seth don't have a teacher like i got." the teen continued as he tryed to look for moral suport and gave up. to many hostile looks the worst comming from gojyo. realising that gojyo was looking daggers at seth or on the point of summoning his whepon and beating the poor man into dust, hurt goku. hurt him that his big brother, the one he looked up to, larked about with was.... was angry. Seth willed himself away. He dove for the window knowing that somehow he had lost Goku. He hated that the world swam behind tears. He had been wrong, and Goku would let them put him on fire or use the angry letterbets on him. He was stunned when the chained Hakkai's pet/friend/lover caught him around the waist and pulled him into him. He wasn't being tightly, but contact made him appear. Seth closed eyes, his body iron rigid as he waited for the angry letterbets, or worse, the pffoooy gun. "Please don't take the insides out," he begged, losing all pride. "Please leave the insides in." Do you find this valuable? |

Sanzo decided he had better act before the situation dug them all in any deeper. He grabbed Goku by the arm and pulling him with him and moved quickly to Gin's side in front of the window. Looking back and forth between Seth and Goku, and trying hard to keep his voice level and non-threatening, he spoke firmly."Goku, take Seth back over there and both of you sit down and stay there. I want to know what's been going on, in words I can understand. So if you need to ask him questions yourself, do it now." He could see Gojyo was about to explode so before the kappa could say anything, he looked at him and softened his voice. " Gojyo, we'll sort it out. Nobody's been hurt. We'll make sure it never happens again, OK? Relax." He turned to Hakkai, hoping the healer might have some insights to illuminate the complex situation, as he usually did. He sat down heavily in one of the chairs next to Gojyo, and lit two cigarettes, giving one to the fuming kappa. "Hakkai, if you have any info or explanations that would help understand any of this, now would be a good time," the frustration and aggravation were starting to show in his voice, despite his attempt to keep it concealed. Hakkai looked up at Sanzo's voice and shook himself from his throughts. He looked at the two youths who had amazingly moved back to the area that Sanzo had directed them."Well..." He said thoughtfully rubbing the back of his head. "It appears that Seth has been following us for awhile. All to get close to Goku or er.. well.. " Hakkai paused not really likeing the idea of being spied upon but then again, what was done was done. "I suppose he was just curious Sanzo. He seems to be more like Goku than a youkai. I don't think he means any harm." He looked over at his friend, who seemed to be practically shaking with fury. "Gojyo...." he said softly. When the kappa slowly turned his head, Hakkai looked at him and shook his head slowly. "It is going to all be ok... why don't you take Sanzo back to your room and relax. I will take care of things here." He sighed and started to chew on his bottom lip. Do you find this valuable? |

Sanzo looked at the two huddled together, miserable at the moment, and misfit all of their lives, and shook his head at the fates - or was it the BitchGoddess playing with his life again - that had brought those two together, against the huge odds, of all the beings on the planet to find each other. Fucking hell, what a mess. He spoke quietly to Hakkai."Hakkai, see if you can get it through the scruffy one's head- once and for all - that voyeurism is NOT a socially acceptable form of sexual education. And make sure that the monkey understands that we leave in the morning - without his friend. Period. End of story." He headed to the door and hooked his finger through the belt loop of his jeans on Gojyo, tugging him gently towards the door. "Tch. C'mon stud. I need a beer. Bad. Let's go find a bar, and I'll shoot anyone who tries to hit on you in those pants." He stopped at the door and turned back to face Goku. "You and I are having a long talk when this is over with. Count on it." He hoped Goku understood it was meant as a promise, not a threat, but at the moment, he wasn't all that concerned. Do you find this valuable? |

Hakkai nodded, eyes flashing with anger before his mask fell into place and he smiled. "Sure Sanzo, I will take care of it."He watched them head out the door, leaving him to pick up the pieces and put things right once again. With a sigh he turned to Goku and his friend. Taking a couple steps toward them but stopping far enough away to not frighten Seth any more than he already was, he squatted so as to be more eye level and hopefully less scary. "Goku, I am not sure that Seth will listen to me. Would you like me to stay and try to talk to him or do you think it's better to just wait until the morning? I am sure that he will be ok on his own. He has done so this far." Hakkai waited to see what would happen, wishing that he was back in bed with Gin's comforting arms around him. He hoped that this wouldn't take all night. He wanted to say his own goodbyes. The thought making his chest tight, painful and hard to breath. Do you find this valuable? |

goku rose off the bed where sanzo had ordered them, he was not stable even if he was managing to keep the shaking down to small trembles. the need to move growing with each passing second."no kai you and gin have been kind enought, go back and..." goku's face twisted in pain knowing they would have time for a sweet goodby. gathering his courgae he turned to seth. "leave." was all he said, it was hard, not the sage voice but defontly not gokus usual happy voice. then the teen could not contain himself much longer it felt like he was going to be ripped apart in the malstorm of his own emoshions. some he was killing for the mercy of the group. stifly he walked to the door, he ment to just open the door, but ened up flinging it back so hard its handle indented on to the wall it bounced back off. taking flight goku ran down the stairs, throught the bar like a worlwind, missing the shocked facers of his sun and lover as they sipped beer. on out the inn and into the afternoon sunlight, the warmth flowing over him yet not touching his raging body. the movement helped, he ran at his full demon speed, heading out the town, out of the hell this place was now, away from his pain. away from responsabilatys and the clonflicts. just away far enought that should he finaly lose it no one could be hurt. slowling down, goku sat on a moss covered stone, it was only as the quiet of the place washed over him he felt the calm precence of the holy abandoned shrine to the goddess. curlling up to hug his knees, he hoped non of the others came looking for him, not even seth. cursing he wished he understood how seth tracked him. all he wanted to do was hide, to claw out he bleeding emoshions that he was not sure was his or the sage. and would the monster shut up screaming like a wounded animal. peace flowed, and the sent of sandle wood and jasmin danced on the air. "Goku!" Hakkai yelled as the youth ran past him too fast to grab. He started after him but the youth was too fast. As he reached the street and realized that he had lost sight of the saru, he paused trying to decide which way he might have gone. Sanzo would shoot him if he lost Goku."FUCK!" Frustrated as hell, knowing that this could take awhile, he headed back to the inn to find Hakuryu and maybe see if Gin would at least go with him. This was just not turning out to be his day. Gin looked disgustedly at Seth. "How the fuck do they get their asses half way across the lobby, never mind to India. Gods!" Standing up he glared around. "Ok, here is the deal you obnoxious brat. First," he reached down and grabbed the mp3 player hanging around Seth's neck and accepted the raking slash across his arm. Dropping the electronic device. "When they found out you watch them boffing, screwing, fucking, making love, doing the nasty or what ever term you use, it was like someone took that from you and crushed it under their boot." He nodded when the pale eyes widened over a brief snarl. "Yeah. Second if you watched Hakkai and I or Hakkai or I, as a solo, alone, you don't mention it, you dont' even think it unless Hakkai or ask you. Then you answer only what we ask. None of you talking about all the bits and pieces got it?" Seth nodded, straightening a little. This person couldn't make him behave. Gin smirked. "You can kill, me but you won't even hurt me, because Goku wouldn't like it." Seth glared but stood his ground. Harkaryuu came to land on his shoulder."OK, Seth, you are alive because we are civilized. We follow certain rules." *I only take what I need,* Seth growled sullenly. "A theif too, ok. Well we have a crisis and you are going sit there, shut up and not make things worse. Listen to your music. Harkaryuu will keep you company." *Goku told me to leave.* OOOO a challenge, Gin had to deal with this right now. "I was part of this fucked up family before you, I out rank you, I am telling you to keep your ass here." He reached out and pushed the blond hair back. "Please. we may need you." Seth looked puzzled but subsided onto the bed. Do you find this valuable? |

Gin stomped downstairs and smiled at the young woman wiping the counter. He strode up to Sanzo and Gojyo and announced. "Sorry blondie, Goku is your responsibility. I will take responsibility for the stray, but you deal with your own problem. Hakkai officially has the night off. And you can dispute it with me if you want. Hakkai won't tell you he's having the night off, but he sure as hell will tell you to leave me the fuck alone. So basically, Hakkai has declared this your problem." Turning on Gojyo snapped. "Get a fucking book. Ok, yeah it's stressful but you are an adult, grow up a bit." Lowering his voice so the two other people who were honestly trying not to listen couldn't hear. "Let him taste his blood and your mouth and he'll chill a bit. Crap you two are pathetic." The last directive was sent to Sanzo. "He's --- what the fuck is the term-- imprinting-- you are like a blood relation to him now, not all Youkai do it but some do. No biggie, but he's reacting to the fact you are "imprinting him" obviously humans can't, but if you taste his blood his chemistry doesn't know, so he tastes his blood -- or his brother's blood if that's your kink-- in your mouth his stupid chemical stew will chill out!" Turning he strode out the door. "And leave Seth alone. I'm dealing wtih him."

Gin walked out and caught up to Hakkai who was torn between rage and terror. "You, would you please come with me now? This drama has reached the point of ridiculous. Goku will come home, when he's hungry. And I told blondie and red to go deal with him." He stopped re-playing what else he said. "And I think I just adopted Seth, which might be binding said to a monk," he continued. "You are not Goku's keeper. Actually niether is blondie any more, but it's blondie's turn to worry about him. You and I will verbally berate Seth some more, eat dinner and play some cards then have a nice quiet night. I told Blondie if he argued with me you would tell him to fuck off. You gonna' make me a liar, Love?" Gin paused, his soft smile at total odds with his beliigerant posture. He paused a beat and reached out very slowly, he would kiss Hakkai if the other didn't resist, but he moved slowly and deliberately in case Hakkai wan't ready or willing to change speeds.

Kanzeon phazed into a copse of evergreens a few yards away from the shrine, and took a deep grateful breath of the fresh air scented with the damp mossy piney smells. It had been a while since she had found an excuse to come to the underworld, and she had missed it so. She slipped quietly through the undergrowth and peeked around the edge of the old stone statue of herself, looking at the small figure slumped forlornly at its base. She had known the Great Sage a long time, and she had never seen him quite as troubled as he was now, and she was worried about him. He was crucial to this mission, which was crucial to her continued entertainment, and he was important to her nephew in spite of himself, which also made her happy. She had seen his love for young Goku help to humanize the cranky reclusive bureaucrat kami Konzen, and she knew without Goku's influence he would never have become the person Genjyo Sanzo was now, able to handle this mission, to fall in love, to be a leader. Young Goku was quite special, and she didn't want to see him fall apart now, at this crucial stage in his life -- she wouldn't allow it.She stepped forward, her bare feet noiseless on the grass and ancient paving stones, and only when she leaned over and brushed his thick chestnut hair back from his eyes and spoke gently to him did Goku know he was not alone. "I do so wish they would keep these shrines of mine in better repair. Now, Goku, darling, why the long face? You look more sad than my old likeness here?" she pointed to the ancient weathered statue of the Bosatsu looking over their heads. She threw her shawl down to the ground to sit on and delicately seated herself next to him. Do you find this valuable? |

goku looked up amazed, how many times had her name been on his lips. countless and they was better words than sanzo ever used, but then goku had a fondness for the goddess his sun did not. to find the lady looking at him now as if the world was nothing more than dust and his problems ment the world to her."most people forget what they cant touch." goku reached out like he was tracing a phantom cheek bone, cought his action and blushed. "lets say, i dont like..... we are ermmm." he fell silent. when there was no demands for more, goku looked up expecting the goddess to have left for more inportaent matters. but no she sat relaxed looking at him with her soft brown eyes smiling like summer. the feeling of presher lifted and goku knew he was free to speak as quick as he wanted. "the sage woke up. he's mad at me.... at sanzo.. no at them all" goku schotted closer to the goddess laying his head down in her lap like a child in his mothers. soft tears falling as his mind slowly settled to thoughts he could handle. She idly looked around the landscape, the rolling hills and the edge of the forest nearby with the trees just starting to change, as she spoke. ""Ahh, the Sage... Yes, I thought that might be it. I know it must be hard living as you do, Goku, living with the Great Sage Equalling Heaven. But you need to know you are truly someone very special. And I know what you are doing is very hard, but you are doing a very very good job... no one else could do it as well as you are. It may not seem like that at the moment, but it's true." sniffling slightly, goku knew the tears he had held back when he had cast seth out, told him so harshly to leave was now able to flow and he would not be judged. "i dont feel specil, just a child to be told what to do, where to sit, who to see, not to eat to much." he let his head tilt into the freindly petting, he liked the goddess.(( s/he gives the best skritches little one)) the sage remembered sitting bitching about the injustace of the war prince and freind. a large sigh left goku. "is it wrong to sacrifice a big thing for others needs or sake?" goku asked inosent eyes blinking up at her. now he was questioning his hard words to seth. the sage had almost chewed gokus brain up as he spoke them and now he was away, calm and safe he was not so sure of his actions. "i know we are on this trip, and its not all bad, there difrent food to try and placers to see and the people are nice most the time. i dont like the fighting, but then its made me stronger, all of us." he tilted his head up pleeding. "we goona... we are the good guys right?" Do you find this valuable? |

Kanzeon smiled and tipped Goku's tear-stained face up to face her."My my, if you have to ask, you really are growing up, darling. Yes, you are the good guys. The ones that set this Minus Wave in motion are truly evil, bent on nothing but working dark forces upon this world. And believe it or not, your Sanzo and your friends are the best possible ones to defeat that evil. It's a big job. But if we didn't truly think you all could do it, we wouldn't have entrusted you with it, and you wouldn't have jippu or the nyoibo or banishing gun or other things you have to help you fight it. Not to mention Konzen's... Sanzo's... scripture. So yes, my dear boy, you are the good guys, and doing a very good job, I might add." She pulled up a corner of her shawl and wiped off his face and held another bit to his stuffed-up nose. "Blow" she commanded. Goku looked mortified at the idea but she pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow like Sanzo does, and he did as ordered. ""Now... as to your other question. That's a little more complicated."" She sighed, sad for the boy to have to face such hard realities so young. ""In general, no.. it's usually not wrong to sacrifice your own needs for the sake of others, for the good of the group. In general, that's what growing up means. But you are very young and ... in some things... inexperienced, Goku. So before you go giving up something that is really important to you, you might want to think very carefully about it... and perhaps talk to someone about it, get the guidance of someone you trust.
